MAIN LOCATION: Leave the A49 1 mile north of the Craven Arns, at a turning to Cheyney Longville, there are two turnings to the Cheyney Longville, the first avoiding the weak bridge, ignore this one and turn down the second. You will pass over a railway bridge and immediately on your right is a signed car park (GR 430845), turn in here.

LOCATION 1: ONNY RIVER BED Leave by stile opposite the car park, keep left through the cutting, ascent the old railway embankment. Continue through a gate and stile until you meet a sign post and where the embankment is right next to the stream. Go ahead, right across the hummocky field, following the river to a stile, plank bridge, wooden steps across a footpath and another stile. You will see a footbridge over the river, DO NOT cross, continue upstream for a further 360 yards. You will notice a small beached area with lots of rocks and a small cliff face the other side of the river on the bank.

(Location 1: Onny River Bed) - 2003

LOCATION 2: THE OLD CLIFF Next location, 100 yards upstream to a stile, 200 yards to the ruined railway bridge, now walking along the railway track, a further 100 yards to the stile in the fence across the track and 130 yards to the next fence and stile across the track. Beyond the stile you will see a boggy area in front of the old cliff. Continue past it over another style and around the boggy area to a further style giving entrance to the boggy area. Follow a track back left above the cliff where you will find the Cheyney Longville flags exposed, or search below in the cliff face for Trilobites.

(Location 2: The Old Cliff) - 2003

LOCATION 3: RAILWAY CUTTING Next location, Go back over the style from where you entered the boggy area and continue 400 yards further West, you will see a footbridge over the river to your right, on the left in the old railway cutting are occasional exposures. Finds can be made on the floor, scree, from the small railway bank or in river.

(Location 3: Railway Cutting Area) - 2003

LOCATION 4: THE OLD BRIDGE Next location, Follow path 250 yards West, leave railway track and a footbridge behind you, you will pass a tall bridge with very fall cliff faces. Search in the scree and rocks around the cutting.

(Location 4: Old Bridge) - 2003
